Auto Driving Device
These devices are part of Loco and perform supervisory and control functions required for safe operation of train movement from one station to the other in a route. It has got a large number of automatic functions, such as

• Continuous monitoring of speed and braking. If a vehicle exceeds the permitted speed, then triggers normal/emergency braking and give a warning signal
• Display actual and target speeds on driver's console
• Train start/stop at start/stop signaling system
• Coach Door Open/close operations
• Maintaining short headways
• High travel speeds and short traveling time
• Passenger guidance and display information
• Driver guidance and display information
• Communication with other trains/vehicles, stations and track side equipments and performing suitable actions
• Acquiring data from the on-board equipments such as traction control system, annunciation systems, Odometer, fire sensors, overload sensors, swing arrestor sensors, etc. and apply fail-safe operation
• When the vehicle is in a station performing operations in conjunction with the station devices
• Location detection using RF-reader and tags and proximity sensors
